A Mother’s Day Card with Floral in Bloom Suite

This collection is from the May 2025 – April 2026 Annual Catalog. I’m loving every moment of it!. This suite is bursting with color, elegance, and charm. Use this layout for any kind of card, just change out the sentiment.

Card Front Details

I started with a Peach Pie cardstock base – such a warm and cheerful color. I layered it with Secret Sea cardstock, adhering it with liquid glue for a strong hold. On top of that, I added a gorgeous piece of Florals in Boom Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the suite. This paper is truly stunning – one side features vibrant florals, while the reverse offers soft geometric patterns, making it incredibly versatile.

Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, I die-cut two circles:

  • The 2nd largest in Basic White,
  • The 3rd largest in Secret Sea.

On the white circle, I stamped a floral image from the Sweet Blooms Stamp Set in Peach Pie ink, then added a sentiment – Happy Mother’s Day – in Secret Sea. (This sentiment comes from the retired Perennial Postage Stamp Set, which I still love using!)

I adhered the two circles together with liquid glue, then wrapped a piece of Peach Pie Ribbon around the layered card stock and DSP, securing it on the back with glue dots. I attached the entire piece to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered the two circles on the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra depth. For a final touch, I tied a small know with the ribbon and added it to the layered ribbon piece.

Inside the Card

To keep the inside simple but elegant, I used a 1″ x 4″ strip of Secret Sea cardstock and layered a 3/4″ square of DSP on top. I adhered both pieces to a Basic White panel using liquid glue. This little accent ties the inside to the front of the card beautifully.

The Finishing Touch

I completed the project by adding a strip of the Florals in Bloom DSP to the enveloe flap – a quick and easy way to give the card a polished, coordinated look. For a little sparkle, I added a few 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (also now retired) to the card front. Even though they’re no longer available, they ere just too perfect not to use!
